A stack of old, cover-less, musty, yellowing comic books that were beyond salvage (I promise, Christian double-checked!) have a second life now… Mod-Podged onto 4 clearance TV tables!
It was a pretty easy project and fun to boot! One table has panels from a Carlton comic featuring a King Kong doppelganger named Konga… I left them alone so that most of the panels are readable. The other 3 tables have classic, iconic and some just silly images collaged over solid pages. I applied 5 coats of Mod-Podge over the finished tops to protect them.
Given the success of this project I might just go crazy with a pot of Mod-Podge through the house.
What can I Mod-Podge onto the toilet seat?
***UPDATE: In addition to the above, after a week or so I did decide to coat the tables in a few coats of clear acrylic spray. They weren’t losing the tacky, sticky feel and glasses were starting to leave marks. Acrylic spray is inexpensive and quick, and now the tables are amazing!
